MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020679 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'mobility assistive device for vehicles.'

Inventor(s) include Nidhi Tyagi; Varun Bansal; Avinav Pathak; and Kuldeep Chauhan.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A mobility assistive device for vehicles comprising, a platform 1 configured with multiple hydraulic actuators 2 that provides movement to the platform 1 on a ground surface and also developed to accommodate a vehicle, a pair of motorized spindle 3 is connected between the actuators 2 for allowing movement of the platform 1 on the surface, an ultrasonic sensor 4 assembled on the platform 1 for detecting distance between the vehicle approaching towards the platform 1, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 5 installed on the platform 1 to determine type of the surface, a touch interactive display panel 7 attached on the platform 1 for enabling a user to input details regarding a location towards which the user desire to relocate, a weight sensor 8 is installed on the platform 1 for detecting positioning of the vehicle on the platform 1."
