MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024053 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 26, 2024, for 'mobility assistive device for roof.'

Inventor(s) include Sohan Lal; and Dr. Reena Rani.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A mobility assistive device for roof, comprising a pair of cylindrical bodies 1 attached with each other via a curved-shaped rod 2 positioned on edge of a roof, a wearable unit 3 is connected with rod 2 via a string 4 that is to be accommodated over torso region of a user for moving over roof to perform various maintenance work as per requirement, a computing unit to give input commands for securing bodies 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 detects dimensions of edge of roof, an expandable pulley arrangement alters diameter of bodies 1, a suction unit adhere bodies 1 on edge, a laser sensor detects dimensions of torso region, an air compressor inflates an inflatable member for securing wearable unit 3 with torso region, and a motorized roller 7 uncoils string 4 in view of allowing user to safely move over roof."
