MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511114770 A) filed by Tracole Technologies Private Limited, Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on Nov. 20, 2025, for 'mobile robotic inspection system for automated visual inspection of motor vehicles and its method thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Velraj Murugan.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 23, under issue no. 04/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a mobile robotic inspection system (100) and a method for automated visual inspection of motor vehicles at an automated testing station (ATS). The system comprises a mobile robotic rover body (102) having a low-clearance chassis (102a) equipped with safety features including proximity sensors (102g) and emergency stop buttons (102e). A plurality of imaging units (104), including fisheye cameras (104a), ToF depth camera (104b), and macro camera (104c), capture multi-view images, supported by an illumination assembly (106) and ranging module (108) using LiDAR sensors (108a) and structured-light projectors (108b) for dimensional analysis. An embedded computing module (110) with GPU processor (110a) executes SLAM-based navigation (112) and an AI-driven perception stack (114) for feature detection. Inspection results are securely transmitted via a connectivity interface (116) and compiled by a report generation module (118) into a tamper-evident, digitally signed compliance report."
