MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517062746 A) filed by Wang, Angang, Guizhou, China, on July 1, for 'mobile phone.'

Inventor(s) include Wang, Angang.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed in the present invention is a mobile phone. In the mobile phone, one to four recesses are formed in the back of the mobile phone, the recesses are sized enough to allow one to four fingertips to reach into the recesses, such that the fingertips can cooperate with the palm of the same hand to hold the mobile phone by one hand, while the thumb of this hand can still click or slide a screen freely. Due to the change in the manner of holding the mobile phone by one hand, the screen width of a full-screen mobile phone can be designed to be wider. The wider screen displays the same content, and characters or image elements appear larger, which obviously improves the visual effect and is also conducive to relieving eye fatigue."

The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 28, 2023, under International application No.PCT/CN2023/134798.
