MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411014287 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 27, 2024, for 'milk feeding assistive device for infant.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Ashima; Nidhi; Bhawna Mishra; and Anmol Tyagi.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A milk feeding assistive device for infant, comprising a cylindrical hollow body 1 positioned in proximity to an infant and stored with milk to be fed to the infant, a nipple 2 connected with the body 1 via a conduit 3 placed in the infant's mouth for allowing the infant to consume milk, an imaging unit 4 mounted on the body 1 for detecting any spillage of milk out from the infant's mouth, a robotic arm 5 installed with the body 1 for cleaning the spillage via a cloth 6 attached with the robotic arm 5 and a speaker 7 mounted on the body 1 for notifying the user to take out the nipple 2 from the infant's mouth."
