MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006779 A) filed by Chairman, Defence Research & Development Organisation, New Delhi, on Feb. 1, 2024, for 'military combat parachute system.'
Inventor(s) include Verma, Vipin Kumar; Lakhesh, Vishal; Shrivastava, Anuj Chandra; and Prajapati, Vineet Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure discloses a parachute (100) having a plurality of cells (104) connected along a width to define a parachute canopy (102). The plurality of cells (104) include a top panel (106), a bottom panel (108), a first side panel (110), a second side panel (112), and a plurality of strings (114). The top panel (106) has a first edge and a second edge. The bottom panel (108) has a first edge and second edge attached to the second edge of the top panel (106). The first side panel (110) is connected to a third edge of the panels (106, 108). The second side panel (112) is connected to a fourth edge of the panels (106, 108). The plurality of strings (114) include a first end attached to the top panel (106) and a second end attached to the bottom panel (108) to form a triangular truss structure."
