MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517064806 A) filed by Bea Sa, Angleur, Belgium, on July 8, for 'microwave imaging radar sensor.'
Inventor(s) include Kaschten, Vincent; and Zambon, Alain Louis.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A microwave imaging radar sensor (10) for creating an image of at least a part of its surrounding space, where the sensor (10) comprises at least one transmitter unit (12), a receiver unit (14) and an evaluation unit (15) which has an output port (38) to output an image and which is connected to the transmitter unit (12) and the receiver unit (14), where the image comprises fields, where the fields are related to a pair of a transmit channel (TX.X) and a receive channel (RX.X), where at least two transmit channels (TX.X) and at least two receive channels (RX.X) each correspond to a fan shaped beam (BT.X, BR.X) having a first dimension (D1) which is significantly larger than a second dimension (D2) and where the first dimension (D1) is perpendicular to the second dimension (D2), where the field is assigned to a radar result characteristic (RC) provided by the receive channel (RX.X) whose fan shaped receive beam (BR.X) overlaps with the fan shaped transmit beam (BT.X) of the transmit channel (TX.X) defining an overlap area (OA, OA.X)."
The patent application was internationally filed on Jan. 26, 2024, under International application No.PCT/EP2024/051925.
