MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621030892 A) filed by K V N Sarma, Maharashtra, on March 14, for 'microwave cloth dryer.'
Inventor(s) include K V N Sarma.
The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This invention discloses a Microwave cloth drying apparatus and a method of drying clothes. The technology of microwave oven is applied in this equipment. When moist clothes are placed in a rotary drum and subjected to microwave field, heat is generated within the clothes due to friction among the water molecules due to microwave action. This heat helps dry clothes. Water content in the clothes causes heat to be generated quickly that raises the temperature leading to evaporation of the water from the clothes. Thus, steam is generated and escapes out of the clothes. By exhaust arrangement the steam is sucked out and at the same a time fresh air enters in and carries away steam from the clothes. This action continues till clothes become dry."
