MUMBAI, India, July 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511061893 A) filed by Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on June 28, for 'microstrip patch antenna for satelliteapplication at k- band.'

Inventor(s) include Ritu Sharma; Kunver Arif Ali; Dr. Himanshu Agarwal; Rajesh Parihar; and Amit Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on July 11, under issue no. 28/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a design of a microstrip patch antenna for satellite communication systems, specifically in the Ku (12 GHz - 18 GHz) and Ka (26.5 GHz - 40 GHz) bands. The antenna overcomes restrictions such as limited bandwidth and low gain by using an optimized geometric structure and sophisticated substrate materials. Simulated and evaluated with HFSS, the antenna has low return loss, high gain, and efficient radiation characteristics, making it perfect for modern satellite communication applications."
