MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514089564 A) filed by Outsense Diagnostics Ltd., Tel-Aviv, Israel, on Sept. 19, 2025, for 'microfluidic device for toilet.'

The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A system is provided for use with a bodily emission emitted into a toilet bowl of a toilet, and a passageway in fluid communication with the toilet bowl such that the toilet is flushable via the passageway. The system includes a microfluidic device, which comprises at least one microfluidic channel and is placeable within the passageway such that a portion of the bodily emission fills the microfluidic channel when the toilet is flushed. A microscopic imaging device is configured to acquire at least one microscopic image of the portion of the bodily emission while the portion is in the microfluidic channel. Other applications are also described."
