MUMBAI, India, Dec. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511101134 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology, New Delhi, on Oct. 19, for 'micro-plasma emitting device for fluid sample analysis.'

Inventor(s) include Bhaskar Mitra; and Manjeet Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to technical field of micro-plasma technology. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to a micro-plasma emitting device (100) for fluid sample analysis. The micro-plasma emitting device (100) comprises a first layer (102) positioned on a substrate layer (106), where the first layer (102) includes a pair of electrodes (102a, 102b) that create an inter-electrode gap (102c), and a second layer (104) featuring multiple dendritic structures spread across the first layer (102). The micro-plasma emitting device (100) is engineered to emit micro-plasma (108) near the inter-electrode gap (102c)."
