MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517058953 A) filed by Eli Lilly And Company, Indianapolis, on June 19, for 'methods of reducing contaminants in protein purification.'

Inventor(s) include Huebner, Amy Lynn; and Blanc, Timothy.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided herein are improved methods of purifying an Fc-containing protein from a mixture comprising the Fc-containing protein and one or more host cell protein (HCP). The methods generally involve applying the mixture to a chromatography column comprising a protein A chromatography matrix, and washing the chromatography matrix with a sodium caprylate wash buffer."
