MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517094131 A) filed by Eli Lilly And Company, Indianapolis, on Sept. 30, for 'methods for the preparation of sstr4 agonists and salts thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Method for preparing SSTR4 agonist compounds. Method for preparing SSTR4 agonist compounds through a diasteromerically selective cyclization reaction without the need for a separate epimerization step. Novel intermediates for preparing SSTR4 agonist compounds. Novel salts of certain SSTR4 agonists, such as (1R,5S,6r)-N-(2-(1-Methyl-1H-indazol-3-yl)propan-2-yl)-3-azabicyclo[3.1.0]hexane-6-carboxamide succinate and as (1R,5S,6r)-N-(2-(1-Methyl-1H-indazol-3-yl)propan-2-yl)-3-azabicyclo[3.1.0]hexane-6-carboxamide adipate. Methods of treatment of pain, such as osteoarthritic, neuropathic, and lower back pain through the administration of certain SSTR4 agonists and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof."
