MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517065017 A) filed by Baebies, Inc., Durham, U.S.A., on July 8, for 'methods for performing rapid polymerase chain reaction (pcr) protocols in microfluidics system.'
Inventor(s) include Srinivasan, Vijay; Pamula, Vamsee; Wu, Daniel; Ng, Rainer; Gell, Richard; Elderbroom, Jennifer; and Jackson, Abigail.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The subject matter relates generally to performing polymerase chain reaction (PCR) in microfluidics devices and more particularly to a microfluidics system, device, and methods for performing rapid polymerase chain reaction (PCR) protocols. In some embodiments, the presently disclosed subject matter provides a microfluidics system including a microfluidics instrument housing a microfluidics cartridge (or device) along with any supporting components. Further, the microfluidics cartridge may be, for example, any fluidics device or cartridge, microfluidics device or cartridge, DMF device or cartridge, droplet actuator, flow cell device or cartridge, and the like."
