MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517070907 A) filed by E Ink Corporation, Billerica, U.S.A., on July 25, for 'methods for driving electro-optic displays.'
Inventor(s) include Crounse Kenneth R; Deliwala Amit; Telfer Stephen J.; Zalesky Jonathan L.; Ai Yin; and Sim Teck Ping.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Methods for driving an electro-optic displays having a plurality of display pixels are described. The method includes determining a level of stress quantity for a display pixel of the electro-optic display based on at least one prior update to the optical state of the display pixel, and receiving a request to update the optical state of the display pixel. The method also includes applying driving waveforms from first or second update schemes to the display pixel depending on the update scheme used for an immediately prior update of the display pixel and comparisons of the level of stress quantity to two level of stress thresholds."
The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 23, 2024, under International application No.PCT/US2024/021238.
