MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621005651 A) filed by Shaurya Seth, Maharashtra, on Jan. 20, for 'methods and systems for virtual try-out of an apparel.'

Inventor(s) include Shaurya Seth.

The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to methods and systems for virtual try-out of an apparel. A server (300) receives image or video data of a user and generates a digital twin representing a virtual likeness of the user, which is stored in a database (304). The server (300) receives one or more product parameters associated with an apparel item and retrieves corresponding apparel item from a retailer server (310) comprising an apparel database (312). The apparel item is processed together with the digital twin to generate a visualization output comprising a rendered image of the apparel item mapped onto the digital twin, which is transmitted to a user-side computing terminal (308) for display. A previously generated digital twin associated with user information may also be retrieved from a database for virtual try-out without regeneration. In an embodiment, the server (300) further generates an application programming interface (API) definition associated with the digital twin and stores the API definition in the database (304), the API definition enabling retrieval of the digital twin and secure transfer of the digital twin to a user-side computing terminal (308)."
