MUMBAI, India, April 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541012829 A) filed by Pemmaraju Venkata Parthasaradhi, Hyderabad, Telangana, on Feb. 14, 2025, for 'methods & systems for virtual field simulation in a sport.'
Inventor(s) include Pemmaraju Venkata Parthasaradhi; and Venkata Anirudh Rachit Pemmaraju.
The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Systems and Methods for virtual field simulation and coaching recommendation in a sport are disclosed. The method includes receiving projectile data corresponding to movement of a projectile following impact by a batting device, determining trajectory parameters, and simulating a corresponding virtual projectile within a virtual field. One or more virtual players are controlled based on configurable player profiles and predicted projectile behaviour to determine response actions including interception outcomes. The system further enables adaptive field placement based on shot distribution data and contextual parameters, and may generate fielding and/or batting recommendations using contextual match inputs and analytical models. The disclosed techniques support real-time simulation, post-session analysis, and operation within confined practice facilities while modelling individualised player behaviour and environmental conditions."
