Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'Methods And Systems For Performing Scalable De-Quantization In A Video Codec' Filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd.

MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441031926 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on April 22, 2024, for 'methods and systems for performing scalable de-quantization in a video codec.'

The methods (500, 600) include performing a classification-based AI In-Loop Filtering in video codec for improving the overall reconstructed video quality. The methods (500, 600) include utilizing supplementary tools and techniques to make the framework classification error-resilient."
