MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441011062 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on Feb. 16, 2024, for 'methods and systems for dynamically splitting an artificial intelligence model across devices.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed herein is a method (800) for dynamically splitting an artificial intelligence (AI) model (206) across a plurality of devices. The method (800) includes determining (802) an anchor device among the plurality of devices for splitting the AI model (206) into a set of portions. Further, detecting (804) one or more secondary devices with capabilities to execute one or more layers associated with the AI model (206). Further, determining (806) one or more split points of the AI model (206) based on capability information and network parameters of the one or more secondary devices. Further, transmitting (808) a data packet to the one or more secondary devices based on the one or more split points, the data packet indicating instructions for executing the one or more layers of the AI model (206)."
