MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441034988 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on May 2, 2024, for 'methods and systems for discovering one or more edge application servers.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure discloses techniques for discovering one or more Edge Application Servers (EASs). The discovery request includes an Application Client (AC) profile indicating a list of associated devices. The AC and the at least one EEC are associated with a user device. The method further includes identifying the one or more EASs based on the list of associated devices received in the discovery request and one or more AS profiles associated with the one or more EASs. Each of the one or more AS profiles indicates a list of required associated devices for corresponding EAS. The method also includes providing information associated with the one or more identified EASs in a list of discovered EASs to the at least one EEC."
