MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441069072 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on Sept. 12, 2024, for 'methods and systems for authorization and validation of a network slice in a communication network.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure discloses methods and systems for authorizing one or more network slices in a communication network. The method includes receiving, from a User Equipment (UE), a request to access the network slice and corresponding at least one proof of evidence. The method includes determining an attestation result based on the received at least one proof of evidence. The method further includes performing one of: authorizing the UE to provide access to the network slice when the attestation result indicates a successful verification of the at least one proof of evidence, or transmitting, to the UE, a failure response message when the attestation result indicates a failed verification of the at least one proof of evidence."
