MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441075757 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on Oct. 7, 2024, for 'methods and systems for adding an entity to a captured image.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Methods (1100) and system (310) for adding one or more entities of interest (320i) to a source image (320) of a scene (!00S) being captured by a device (150). The system (310) comprises an entity masking module (410) for generating a set of masked relevant images (510M) related to the entity of interest (320i), a skeletal map generator (420) for generating a relative skeletal map (520) of physical aspects of the entity of interest (320i) using the set of masked relevant images (510M), a map module (430) and an image reconstruction module (440). The map module (430) generates an aesthetic feature map (530) of the physical aspects of the entities (320A, 320B) and the scene (100S). The image reconstruction module (440) recreates the image (320) based on the feature map (530) and the relative skeletal map (520) added with the one or more entities of interest (320i)."
