MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441016426 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on March 7, 2024, for 'methods and devices for improving memory operations.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A method performed by a host device for improving memory operations comprises receiving (502) a request to perform at least one memory operation on a storage device (230). The method (500) further includes determining (504) a current processing load of a processing unit (222) of the host device (210) upon receiving the request to perform the at least one memory operation. The method (500) further includes transmitting (506) a configuration request to the storage device (230) to configure a spare space within a storage controller (232) of the storage device (230) in response to determining that the current processing load exceeds a load threshold value. The configuring of the spare space includes allocating a plurality of registers within the spare space to perform the at least one memory operation on the storage device (230)."
