MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517079510 A) filed by Linde Gmbh; Basf Se; Arvos Gmbh; and Sabic Global Technologies B. V., Pullach, Germany, on Aug. 21, for 'methods and apparatuses for producing olefins.'
Inventor(s) include Sinn, Tobias; Eberstein, Christopher; Bruder, David; Zellhuber, Mathieu; Schmidt, Gunther; Haunert, Andrea; Hetzer, Jens; Linnenkohl, Andreas; Schlieter, Thorsten; Stuckrath, Karsten; Weidenfeller, Jorg; Broekhuis, Robert Roger; and Schroer, Joseph William.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A method for producing olefins proposed involves heating a reaction feed, operating a conversion reactor, converting the feed within this reactor, extracting a product gas, and then cooling this gas. The process utilizes a thermal energy recovery system equipped with coaxial inner and outer passages and structures to enhance heat transfer between them. The feed and product gas are passed through the outer and inner passages, respectively, to transfer heat efficiently. Additionally, the reactor is fired using preheated oxidator gas over 400 C and fuel gas. The thermal system is designed to adhere to specific temperature constraints on the inner passage's containment, ensuring operational safety and efficiency. Corresponding is also disclosed herein."
The patent application was internationally filed on Feb. 21, 2024, under International application No.PCT/EP2024/054383.
