MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517044938 A) filed by Nutromics Technology Pty Ltd, Brunswick, Australia, on May 9, for 'methods and apparatus for determining the amount of an analyte in fluid using a periodic waveform.'
Inventor(s) include Hodges Alastair; Teo Stanley; and Li Jiezhen.
The application for the patent was published on June 13, under issue no. 24/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided are methods for interrogating aptamer based electrochemical sensors using square wave voltammetry. A redox reporter is attached to each of the aptamers. Currents resulting from the interrogation are measured and used to determine an initial distribution of redox reporter above the surface of the aptamer coated working electrode of the sensor. The measured currents are used to determine a location or a distribution of the redox active species in relation to the surface and in turn the amount of analyte about the electrode."
The patent application was internationally filed on Aug. 02, 2023, under International application No.PCT/AU2023/050722.
