MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517073622 A) filed by Interdigital Patent Holdings, Inc., Wilmington, U.S.A., on Aug. 1, for 'methods, architectures, apparatuses and systems for cell selection and reselection prioritization for sub-band full duplex.'
Inventor(s) include Khan Beigi, Nazli; Park, Jonghyun; Lee, Moon-Il; and Marinier, Paul.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Procedures, methods, architectures, apparatuses, systems, devices, and computer program products are described for cell selection, such as where one or more cells operates using sub-band full duplex (SBFD) symbols. In an example embodiment, a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may use one or more synchronization signal/physical broadcast channel (SS/PBCH) blocks (SSBs) from one or more candidate cells that are either a first type of cell or a second type of cell during a cell selection procedure, such as prior to initial access or for cell reselection. The WTRU may perform an access procedure with a base station associated with one of the candidate cells based on the one of the candidate cells, that is a first type, having a highest ranking among the one or more candidate cells using measurement information associated with the SSBs from the one or more candidate cells."
The patent application was internationally filed on Jan. 30, 2024, under International application No.PCT/US2024/013496.
