MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617020002 A) filed by Interdigital Ce Patent Holdings, Sas, Paris, on Feb. 20, for 'method to manage scene rendering based on the confidence of the pose prediction.'

Inventor(s) include Jouet, Pierrick; Hirtzlin, Patrice; Fontaine, Loic; Lelievre, Sylvain; Faivre D'Arcier, Etienne; and Onno, Stephane.

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Some embodiments of a method may include: obtaining a first predicted frame display time; obtaining first predicted pose information representing a prediction of a user pose at the first predicted frame display time; determining first pose confidence information indicating a confidence level of the first predicted pose information; selecting a frame for display based at least in part on the first pose confidence information; and causing display of the selected frame. When the pose confidence information indicates a sufficiently high confidence, a newly rendered frame is obtained for display. When the pose confidence information indicates a low confidence, a previously rendered frame is used for display, possibly after reprojection."

The patent application was internationally filed on Aug. 07, 2024, under International application No.PCT/EP2024/072331.
