Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'Method Of Recycling Composite Material' Filed by Vestas Wind Systems A/S

MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517064601 A) filed by Vestas Wind Systems A/S, Aarhus, Denmark, on July 7, for 'method of recycling composite material.'

Inventor(s) include Rehmeier, Mie; Nielsen, Troels Bach; and Baun, Torben Ladegaard.

The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A method of recycling composite material, the composite material comprising reinforcement fibres embedded in a matrix material. The method comprises: loading the composite material into a container; treating the composite material in the container with a liquid; transporting the container to a recycling station, wherein the liquid degrades the matrix material in the container during the transporting of the container; and at the recycling station, recycling the reinforcement fibres by separating them from the matrix material."

The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 13, 2023, under International application No.PCT/DK2023/050304.
