Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'Method Of Preparing Vasopressin' Filed by Polypeptide Laboratories Holding (PPL) AB

MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517056920 A) filed by Polypeptide Laboratories Holding (PPL) AB, Limhamn, Sweden, on June 13, for 'method of preparing vasopressin.'

Inventor(s) include Fomsgaard, Jens; and Hansen, Stefan.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Methods of producing vasopressin are disclosed. The methods are based on solid phase peptide synthesis, partial deprotection and resin cleavage, purification, oxidation to a cyclic crude peptide and subsequent purification steps before isolation with high purity. Also disclosed are high purity vasopressins as obtained by the methods."

The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 22, 2023, under International application No.PCT/SE2023/051176.
