MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517091680 A) filed by Renewable Metals Pty Ltd., Sydney, on Sept. 24, for 'method for the recovery of metals from e-waste.'

Inventor(s) include Urbani, Mark Daniel.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed herein is a method of recovering metals from a leachate of an alkaline leach of electronic waste, the leachate comprising Cu, Li, and Mn ions, the method comprising: recovering Mn from the leachate; after the step of recovering Mn from the leachate, recovering Cu from the leachate; and after the step of recovering Cu from the leachate, recovering Li from the leachate."

The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 27, 2024, under International application No.PCT/AU2024/050285.
