Inventor(s) include Dhara P. Desani; Umang P. Patel; Dipen J. Patel; and Dr. Manish K. Shah.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Method for synthesizing pyridazinone-based oxadiazole hybrid as anti-cancer agent is described herein. The method comprises of starting with raw materials of 3,4,6-trichloropyridazine, which leads to formation of 4,6-dichloropyridazin-3(2H)-one. The 4,6-dichloropyridazin-3(2H)-one leads to formation of intermediate with 2-benzyl-4,6-dichloropyridazin-3(2H)-one, intermediate - A. The methyl 2-aminobenzoate and benzenesulfonyl chloride leads to formation of a methyl 2-(phenylsulfonamido)benzoate. The methyl 2-(phenylsulfonamido)benzoate leads to formation of N-(2-(hydrazinecarbonyl)phenyl) benzenesulfonamide. The N-(2-(hydrazinecarbonyl)phenyl) benzenesulfonamide leads to formation of N-(2-(5-mercapto-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl)phenyl) benzenesulfonamide, intermediate - B. The intermediate - B and intermediate - A leads to formation of 2-(5-((2-benzyl-6-chloro-3-oxo-2,3-dihydropyridazin-4-yl)thio)-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl)phenyl)benzenesulfonamide. The pyridazinone-based oxadiazole hybrid used for treatment of cervical cancer."
