MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514078270 A) filed by Fev Group Gmbh, Aachen, Germany, on Aug. 18, 2025, for 'method for setting parameters of a vehicle control unit for regulating the interior climate of a vehicle.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a method and a system for setting parameters of a vehicle control unit for regulating the interior climate of a vehicle, as well as a computer pro-gram. The method according to the invention for setting the parameters of a vehicle control unit for regulating the interior climate of a vehicle comprises the steps: a. Positioning a test dummy with sensors in the interior of the vehicle; b. Connecting the sensors and the vehicle control unit to a computer; c. Executing an automatic parameter setting program, wherein the computer chang-es individual parameters on the vehicle control unit in accordance with a specification in order to produce a desired interior climate, the actual interior climate is recorded by the sensor system with measurement data, the measurement data is transmitted to the computer, the computer evaluates the measurement data on the basis of specified criteria and, based on the result of the evaluation, adjusts the parameters of the vehicle control unit until a termination criterion is met."
