MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517045579 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on May 12, for 'method for rolling electrode.'
Inventor(s) include Kim Min Ki; Kim Beom Su; Choi Nak Won; Song Youngwan; Choy Sang Hoon; Seol Jeong Soo; and Park Keum Yong.
The application for the patent was published on June 13, under issue no. 24/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A method for rolling an electrode according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of: (a) measuring the temperature and the speed of a rolling roll; (b) deriving a target load value under the measured temperature and speed; and (c) rolling the electrode by the target load value wherein the target load value is a load value implementing a desired electrode thickness at the time of rolling the electrode. According to a method for rolling an electrode of the present invention a target load at the time of rolling the electrode can be effectively derived and thus the electrode can be rolled by the target load. Therefore the present invention can prevent repetition of steps of trial rolling of an electrode thickness measurement of a rolled electrode and adjustment of a gap between rolling rolls."
The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 24, 2023, under International application No.PCT/KR2023/019155.
