MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517070893 A) filed by National University Corporation Chiba University, Chiba, Japan, on July 25, for 'method for regulating degree of cell differentiation.'
Inventor(s) include Takayama, Naoya; Paul, Sudip Kumar; Nakajima, Akihiro; Liu, Yijing; and Nakamura, Sou.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a method for regulating the degree of cell differentiation, the method comprising a step for forced expression of the MYC family of genes and BMI1 genes, in cells selected from the group consisting of: (i) mesenchymal stem cells, vascular endothelial cells, smooth muscle cells, neural crest cells, and lymphocytes, of any degree of differentiation; and (ii) megakaryocytes of a high degree of differentiation and myelocytes."
The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 28, 2023, under International application No.PCT/JP2023/047341.
