MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202527089631 A) filed by Belzinc, Leuze, Belgium, on Sept. 19, for 'method for recovery of zinc.'
Inventor(s) include Masse, Antoine Roger Paul; and Masson, Noel Jean Joseph.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a zinc leaching method which comprises the following steps: - supplying a material that contains zinc in oxidized form, - leaching the material in an alkaline basic medium with formation of a solid residue and of a supersaturated zinc solution (i) or a zinc-rich solution (ii): - separating (A') the solid leaching residue from the supersaturated zinc solution (i) or from the zinc-rich solution (ii), - heating said supersaturated zinc solution (i) in order to precipitate a zinc oxide, - separating (D') the zinc oxide."
The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 22, 2024, under International application No.PCT/EP2024/057778.
