MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517040225 A) filed by Posco Co. Ltd.; and Research Institute Of Industrial Science & Technology, Gyeongsangbuk, Republic of Korea, on April 25, for 'method for recovering ammonia.'

Inventor(s) include Jeong, Cheon-Woo; Cho, Jung-Ho; Ryoo, Ho-Geun; and Kim, Joon-Woo.

The application for the patent was published on June 13, under issue no. 24/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a method for recovering ammonia, the method comprising: step S1 for providing a mixed gas including ammonia; step S2 for dissolving the ammonia in water; step S3 for degassing ammonia water in which the ammonia is dissolved, and thereby separating water and ammonia gas; and step S4 for purifying the degassed ammonia."

The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 29, 2023, under International application No.PCT/KR2023/019412.
