MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517054914 A) filed by Beijing Xiaomi Mobile Software Co. Ltd., Beijing, on June 6, for 'method for providing localization service by means of hosting network, and apparatus therefor.'
Inventor(s) include Liu, Jianning; and Liang, Haoran.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed in the embodiments of the present disclosure are a method for providing a localization service by means of a hosting network, and an apparatus therefor. The method comprises: a terminal device acquiring localization service information from the current first network; and the terminal device selecting a target hosting network according to the localization service information, wherein the target hosting network is used for providing a localization service. By means of implementing the embodiments of the present disclosure, the problem of how a terminal device acquires a localization service can be solved, such that the terminal device can use a localization service provided by a hosting network."
