The application for the patent was published on June 6, under issue no. 23/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "In the production of a shaped body by a method that includes eluting, into a congealed liquid, carboxylic acid from a protein solution containing a protein and carboxylic acid, the present invention addresses the problem of efficiently recovering the carboxylic acid from the congealed liquid. As a solution to the foregoing problem, this method for producing a shaped body that includes protein includes introducing a protein solution containing carboxylic acid into a congealed liquid, and recovering the carboxylic acid from the congealed liquid. Recovery of the carboxylic acid from the congealed liquid comprises: a first step in which, as a result of a liquid-liquid contact between the congealed liquid and a preparation extraction agent containing an extraction solvent and a diluent, the carboxylic acid in the congealed liquid is dissolved into the preparation extraction agent, and consequently a preparation extraction agent containing the carboxylic acid and water is formed; a second step in which a diluent layer and a water layer are formed while the diluent and water are distilled away, and the remaining preparation extraction agent containing the carboxylic acid is recovered; and a third step in which, through a distillation operation including distilling away the carboxylic acid from the preparation extraction agent, refined carboxylic acid is obtained."
The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 15, 2023, under International application No.PCT/JP2023/041110.
