MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517097169 A) filed by The Japan Steel Works, Ltd., Tokyo, on Oct. 8, for 'method for producing nonwoven fabric sheet, device for producing nonwoven fabric sheet, and nonwoven fabric sheet.'

Inventor(s) include Ishiguro, Ryo; and Kimura, Koichi.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention makes it possible to stably produce a nonwoven fabric sheet even when a liquid material with a low viscosity is used. This method for producing a nonwoven fabric sheet includes (a) a step in which a liquid material LM that contains a raw material and has a viscosity of 100,000 mPa s or less is prepared, (b) a step in which a sheet-like coat of the liquid material LM is applied on a nonwoven fabric NW by a coating machine, (c) a step in which the nonwoven fabric NW is impregnated with the liquid material LM, (d) a step in which the liquid material LM with which the nonwoven fabric NW is impregnated is solidified and a nonwoven fabric sheet 50 is obtained, and (e) a step in which the nonwoven fabric sheet 50 is rolled up."

The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 22, 2023, under International application No.PCT/JP2023/042002.
