MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517050412 A) filed by Saint-Gobain Isover, Courbevoie, France, on May 26, for 'method for producing mineral fibers by means of low-carbon-emission centrifugal spinning.'

Inventor(s) include Verdier, Antoine; and Sharma, Ayush.

The application for the patent was published on June 13, under issue no. 24/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a method for producing mineral fibres using an installation comprising an annular burner, the burner comprising a combustion chamber and a nozzle, the nozzle connecting the combustion chamber to the outside of the burner, a fiber spinner suitable for forming filaments by means of centrifugal spinning, the method comprising at least one step of injecting a first fluid into the combustion chamber at a first flow rate, the first fluid comprising a fuel, the fuel comprising dihydrogen, the volume fraction of dihydrogen in the first fluid being greater than 0.05. The pressure in the combustion chamber is between 1961 Pa and 7845 Pa."

The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 03, 2023, under International application No.PCT/EP2023/080716.
