MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517054109 A) filed by Jfe Steel Corporation, Tokyo, on June 4, for 'method for producing grain-oriented electrical steel sheet.'
Inventor(s) include Tanaka Takaaki; Yamada Takuya; and Terashima Takashi.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a method for producing a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet that makes it possible to produce a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet which has excellent magnetic properties uniformly along the lengthwise direction and widthwise direction, even if an inhibitorless method is used. A method for producing a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet according to the present invention is characterized by comprising: a step for hot-rolling a steel slab having a prescribed component composition after heating said steel slab, to obtain a hot-rolled sheet; a step for performing cold rolling on the hot-rolled sheet either one time or two or more times with intermediate annealing therebetween, to obtain a cold-rolled sheet; a step for performing decarburization annealing on the cold-rolled sheet to obtain a decarburization annealed sheet; a step for winding the decarburization annealed sheet after applying an annealing separation agent to the decarburization annealed sheet, to obtain a coil; and a step for performing finishing annealing on the coil, wherein, during the finishing annealing, at both the hottest point and the coldest point of the coil, the heating rate H1 from room temperature to 850 C is not less than 10.0 C/h, and the heating rate H2 from 850 C to 950 C is not more than 15.0 C/h."
The patent application was internationally filed on Feb. 01, 2024, under International application No.PCT/JP2024/003357.
