According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a method for producing an operating cylinder, comprising a cylinder (10), a piston unit (20) and a position sensor (30), wherein the piston unit (20) is configured as a hollow piston unit and has an axial bore (21) which is open on the bottom side, wherein the position sensor (30) has a main body (31), which is arranged in an interior-side axial receiving bore (17) of the bottom closure part (13), and has an axially extending measuring sensor rod (32), which is arranged in the axial bore (21), is connected to the main body (31) and is arranged in a fixed positional relationship with the bottom closure part (13), and has an evaluation electronics system (33), characterized by the following method steps, wherein the method steps are carried out either in the sequence a), b), c), d) or in the sequence a), b), d), c): a) fitting the position sensor (30) with its main body (31) into the receiving bore (17) of the bottom closure part (13) to form a preliminary assembly (40), b) fastening the main body (31) in the receiving bore (17), c) joining and connecting the cylinder tube (11) to the preliminary assembly (40) on the bottom closure part (33), with the measuring sensor rod (32) being arranged in the cylinder interior (16), d) joining the piston unit (20), the guide closure part (12) and the cylinder tube (11), with the piston unit (20) being arranged with the measuring sensor rod (32) in the axial bore (21)."
