MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517074450 A) filed by Tokuyama Corporation, Yamaguchi, Japan, on Aug. 5, for 'method for producing amino group-containing compound, method for separating amino group-containing compound, and apparatus for producing amino group-containing compound.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A purpose of one embodiment of the present invention is to provide a method for producing an amino group-containing compound, with which it is possible to more easily remove an N-terminal protecting group-derived compound. According to one embodiment of the present invention, this method for producing an amino group-containing compound comprises: a slug flow forming step for forming a slug flow of a hydrophobic layer formed from a hydrophobic solution containing an organic solvent, an N-terminal protecting group-derived compound, and an amino group-containing compound to be recovered, and a hydrophilic layer formed from an acidic aqueous solution; and a separating step for separating the hydrophobic layer from the slug flow, thereby recovering the hydrophobic solution."
