MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611002003 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Jan. 8, for 'method for producing a nano-bio chelated micronutrient formulation.'

Inventor(s) include Harshal Vasantrao Wadatkar; and Saloni Patil.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a method (100) for producing a nano-bio chelated micronutrient formulation using fermented agro-waste as a natural source of chelating agents. The method includes collecting agro-waste, fermenting it anaerobically with jaggery and cow dung to release organic acids, adding micronutrient salts, and reducing metal ions to nanoscale chelated complexes using plant-derived reducing agents such as Aloe vera and green tea extracts. The reaction mixture is heated, settled, filtered, stabilized with natural gums, and packaged as liquid or powder. The resulting nano-bio chelated formulation improves micronutrient bioavailability, enhances plant uptake, supports soil microbial health, and replaces synthetic chelating agents with biodegradable alternatives suitable for organic and sustainable agriculture."
