MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611002004 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Jan. 8, for 'method for preparing a moringa-based chyawanprash formulation.'

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a method (100) for preparing a nutritionally enhanced Moringa-based Chyawanprash formulation integrating Moringa oleifera leaf powder with traditional Ayurvedic Rasayana components such as Amla, herbs and natural sweeteners. The method (100) includes washing, steaming and pulping Amla, sauteing the Amla paste in ghee, preparing a Moringa paste, extracting herbal actives, melting jaggery to a single-thread consistency and gradually mixing date paste, Moringa paste and Amla paste. The combined mixture is heated at 60-80 C with continuous stirring until a uniform, jam-like consistency is obtained. After cooling, honey is added to preserve enzymatic and antioxidant properties. The final formulation is stored in airtight containers, ensuring stability, enhanced nutrient retention, improved immunity and superior therapeutic benefits without artificial preservatives."
