The method (100) of preparation includes extracting protein isolates through milling, defatting, alkaline solubilization, ultrafiltration, and freeze-drying, followed by hydration, controlled heating, sequential addition of honey, xanthan gum, citric acid, and potassium sorbate, pH adjustment to approximately 4.2, homogenization, and cooling. The gel comprises plant-based protein isolates derived from seeds of species Cicer arietinum and species Cannabis sativa L., liquid honey as a carbohydrate source, xanthan gum, citric acid, potassium sorbate, water, and natural flavouring agents, maintaining a carbohydrate-to-protein ratio of 2:1.The formulation delivers a portable, plant-based recovery solution that enhances glycogen resynthesis, muscle repair, and microbial stability, offering a clean-label alternative to conventional recovery products for athletes."
