MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514089704 A) filed by Robert Bosch Gmbh, Stuttgart, Germany, on Sept. 19, 2025, for 'method for operating internal combustion engine with gaseous fuel, computer program product and control unit.'

The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "In a method for operating an internal combustion engine (10) with gaseous fuel, compressed air is supplied to a combustion chamber from an air supply region (16) at least temporarily by means of an exhaust gas turbocharger (24), and exhaust gas is recirculated from an exhaust gas region (18) into the air supply region (16) at least temporarily through an exhaust gas recirculation line (36) and an exhaust gas recirculation valve (38) arranged in the exhaust gas recirculation line (36). It is proposed that at least temporarily a first variable, which characterizes a target position of the exhaust gas recirculation valve (38), depends on a second variable, which characterizes an actual speed of the exhaust gas turbocharger (24)."
