MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517050965 A) filed by Totalenergies Onetech, Courbevoie, France, on May 27, for 'method for measuring the contents of at least one gas emitted by a source in a plume propagating through the atmosphere from the source, and associated method and drone.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This method comprises the following steps: - defining an initial flight plan of a drone (22) depending on an initial measurement area comprising a plurality of initial measurement segments; - flying the drone (22) according to the initial flight plan and measuring data representative of content on at least one initial measurement segment; - during implementation of the initial flight plan and/or after implementation of the initial flight plan, generating a modified flight plan from the data representative of content measured on the at least one initial measurement segment, the modified flight plan comprising a plurality of modified measurement segments defining a modified measurement area; - measuring the data representative of content on the plurality of modified measurement segments of the modified measurement area."
