MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517073390 A) filed by Nippon Steel Corporation, Tokyo, on Aug. 1, for 'method for manufacturing grain-oriented electrical steel sheet and manufacturing apparatus of grain-oriented electrical steel sheet.'

Inventor(s) include Hamamura Hideyuki; Yasuda Masato; and Sugiyama Kimihiko.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This method for manufacturing a grain-oriented electromagnetic steel sheet has: an oil film removal step for removing an oil film adhered to the surface of a cold-rolled steel sheet during rolling; a laser beaming step for beaming, after the oil film removal step, a laser beam onto, and forming a groove on, the surface of the cold-rolled steel sheet from which the oil film has been removed; and a decarburization annealing step for performing, after the laser beaming step, decarburization and annealing on the cold-rolled steel sheet on which the groove has been formed."

The patent application was internationally filed on Feb. 08, 2024, under International application No.PCT/JP2024/004394.
