MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517075626 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Aug. 8, 2025, for 'method for manufacturing electrode for lithium secondary battery.'

Inventor(s) include Lee, Ilha; Koo, Daeryung; Joo, Mun Kyu; Hong, Doyoung; Kwon, Yohan; and Chae, Jonghyun.

The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing an electrode for a lithium secondary battery, the method comprising the steps of: preparing a transfer laminate including a lithium metal layer and a base layer; bringing the transfer laminate into contact with at least one side of an electrode active material layer so that the lithium metal layer comes into contact therewith; and separating the base layer from the transfer laminate, wherein the separating step is performed a predetermined time after the step of bringing the transfer laminate into contact."

The patent application was internationally filed on Sept. 27, 2024, under International application No.PCT/KR2024/014689.
